A Mother’s heartbreak: Moment a sobbing single mom, 18, hands her newborn baby to his adoptive Mother for the first time
(Daily Mail) A young mother shared a heartbreaking video of the final moments she spent with her newborn son before she gave him up for adoption.
Hannah Mongie, 21, from Utah was 18 when she fell pregnant unexpectedly with her boyfriend of eight weeks, Kaden Whitney.
But she was ‘shattered’ when Kaden, a church missionary, passed away in his sleep from natural causes two months later.
The pair had already discussed adoption but after Kaden’s death, Hannah initially struggled with the idea of going ahead.
‘But one day I woke up and just knew you were supposed to be with someone else.’
After giving birth, Hannah had a precious 48 hours with her son Taggart before she handed him over to his new parents, Brad and Emily Marsh.
She used the time to film an emotional video for the little boy, explaining the reasons behind her gut-wrenching decision.
In the nine-minute clip Hannah sobs: ‘If I didn’t love you I wouldn’t be in the position at all and you wouldn’t have this awesome family.
‘I’m going to give you all the kisses I can before I sign you away to Brad and Emily.
