Zach Bryan honored Toby Keith at the Bud Light Backyard Tour on Friday, Feb. 10, by covering Keith’s ‘Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (Angry American).

The beloved country music icon has recently passed away at the age of 62 after a long fight with stomach cancer. Keith’s death is truly devastating, and it’s evident from the touching stories and heartfelt tributes pouring in that he had a profound impact on the world of music.

Keith was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2022. He shared this on Instagram.
“Last fall, I was diagnosed with stomach cancer. I’ve spent the last 6 months receiving chemo, radiation and surgery. So far, so good. I need time to breathe, recover and relax,” the “Should’ve Been A Cowboy”

Upon learning of Toby Keith’s demise, Zach Bryan also posted a touching statement on social media.
“Too many rides in my old man’s car listening to Toby Keith. really hard thing to hear. rest in peace friend we love you,” Bryan wrote at the time on X, formerly known as Twitter. “”America lost a fuc*in hero man.” At the time, he also quoted several of Keith’s iconic lyrics, including “should’ve learned to rope and ride,” “We’ll put a boot in your ass its the American way” and “come as you are, I love this bar.”
