Reba McEntire opened the 2024 Super Bowl on Sunday with a voice that took the stage, along with a striking ensemble.
As she entered the field, the 68-year-old country music icon performed a poignant rendition of the national anthem.
While several players in the CBS broadcast kept their heads low and concentrated during the performance, Chris Jones, the Chiefs’ two-time All-Pro defensive tackle, was emotional.

On January 29, NBCUniversal announced that McEntire would make a comeback to television with a sitcom series.
“Reba inherits her father’s restaurant and is less than thrilled to discover that she has a new business partner in the half-sister she never knew she had,” says the proposed pilot.
