Cheesy Mexicorn Dip| The Hopeless Housewife


1 pound ground beef
½ teaspoon chili powder
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½  teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon cumin
2 tablespoons taco sauce, mild or medium
salt and freshly cracked pepper to taste
For the Mexicorn mixture:
1 tablespoon butter
1 /2 onion, diced
1 clove garlic, chopped
¼ cup chopped green onions
2 cans Mexicorn (or 3 cups cooked corn, 1/4 cup each red and green pepper, diced and salt/sugar to taste. You can put this all in a saucepan with water over medium and cook until tender)
6 ounces cream cheese
2 cups shredded jack cheese
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste
1 jalapeño, sliced
tortilla chips
