I made this newborn photo prop & keepsakes box for my nephew “Zane” he made his grand entrance May 18 of this year.

I purchased a large box with a lid from Hobby Lobby I believe I paid ten dollars or maybe 12.99 for the box. To begin with, it was black with a floral design. Then I covered it with quilt batting and material. I also purchased an inexpensive photo book for the top of the box.

I applied the batting with batting adhesive spray and the material with Tacky Glue (gold bottle) for crafts. Then I had a blast filling the box with items for newborn pictures. My favorite shop is Etsy an online store so most of the items came from there or Amazon my second favorite online store. I added a crocheted football and baseball beanie, football, baseball, Dr. Seuss crocheted beanie and leggings, Dr. Seuss books, hot rod cars, and a crocheted baseball blanket. My sister’s nursery theme is Dr. Seuss so the Dr. Seuss turned out as a perfect photo prop.

I wish I had taken photos of the entire process at the time I was not thinking I needed images of the process. I would recommend this for anyone giving a baby gift it’s a unique gift and can be used forever as keepsake box.
