My new favorite secret to a successful pot roast is Campbell’s Golden Mushroom Soup thanks to my sister-n-law for showing me this secret.
Beef roast (I used a chuck roast)
Pearl onions I used 5 to 6 (seasoned and sauteed in bacon fat (bad I know but I couldn’t help it and it was delicious)
Bacon pieces from sauteing onions
1 Pckg baby carrots
2 Cans of Campbell’s Golden Mushroom Soup
1/2 Cup oil
1/2 Cup flour
Salt & Pepper to taste
Season meat and lightly dust with flour. Heat oil in skillet and brown all sides of roast.
Place roast in crockpot then add pearl onions, bacon pieces and vegetables (season vegetables) top with Campbells Golden Mushroom soup.
Cook in crockpot on low for 10 hours or on high for about 6 hours until meat is done and tender.
