Stormy Daniels’ Arrested Performing At Strip Club; Charges Dismissed
A police charge sheet tweeted by a CBS News reporter says Stormy Daniels touched a police officer posing as a patron “in a specified anatomical area”. (BBC)
Daniels was arrested in Sirens, the venue where she was performing.
Her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, shared a court document saying the case was dismissed on Thursday.
Daniels alleges she slept with President Donald Trump in 2006, which he denies.
Mr Avenatti had earlier called the arrest “a setup” and “politically motivated”.
Just rcvd word that my client @StormyDaniels was arrested in Columbus Ohio whole performing the same act she has performed across the nation at nearly a hundred strip clubs. This was a setup & politically motivated. It reeks of desperation. We will fight all bogus charges. #Basta

Mr Avenatti tweeted that Ms Daniels, real name Stephanie Clifford, had been performing “the same act she has performed across the nation at nearly 100 strip clubs”.
Mr Avenatti posted a statement from Daniels saying she would not be able to go ahead with Friday night’s show.
Official Statement From @StormyDaniels: As a result of what happened last night, I will unfortunately be unable to go forward with tonight's scheduled performance. I deeply apologize to my fans in Columbus.
