After seeing King Charles for a day in the United Kingdom, Prince Harry is back in the United States.

When it was announced earlier this week that the King had cancer, the 39-year-old Duke of Sussex made a quick trip to see his father before returning to California.

King Charles was diagnosed with cancer on Monday, according to a statement from Buckingham Palace. The disease was found during an additional course of therapy for an enlarged prostate. The king does not have prostate cancer, according to royal sources, but the palace has not disclosed the specific type of cancer the king does have or the nature of his current therapies.

The Duke of Sussex chose to stay in a posh London hotel that is accessible to the general public, according to the Daily Mail, despite having access to other royal apartments.

Harry arrived in London on Tuesday just after 2:00 p.m. local time and was immediately taken to see his sick father.

If there had been an invitation, a source informed the site that Harry would have “gladly accepted” to meet with his estranged brother, Prince William. Reportedly, no invitation was made.

“Spare” is the title Harry chose for his 2023 memoir, which detailed a lifetime of sibling rivalries, ranging from William’s claim of having the larger bedroom to a violent altercation with William.

Harry said in the book that he and his wife, Meghan, also known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, were portrayed by the British media as villains in contrast to William and Kate, the good guys, and that palace officials had lied to shield Harry’s older brother.

Following his cancer diagnosis, King Charles III is prepared to put his estranged son, Prince Harry, behind him.

Royal analyst Katie Nicholl said on “Entertainment Tonight” on Tuesday that Charles desperately wants to reconcile with Harry.”

“Harry jumped on the overnight flight from Los Angeles after his father personally called him to tell him he had cancer,” Nicholl claimed.

Given that the father and son had not been on favorable terms for a long time, the journalist surmised that the reunion was quite “emotional.”

The reconciliation between Harry and his father, according to Nicholl, also signifies “a real thawing in the relations between Charles and his son.”

However, it’s reported that the visit between the son and father only lasted for 45 minutes.

A helicopter said to be transporting the pair took off from the roof and brought Charles and Queen Camilla to their Sandringham home in Norfolk, but not Harry, less than an hour after Harry arrived at Clarence House.

We can only speculate, but with a son flying 5000 miles to see their ill father for the reunion only to last 45 minutes, an assumption could be made the meeting didn’t fare well.
