Oprah was on campus talking to students and announcing her new $13 million donation. She had previously donated $12 million to Morehouse. The school is a private, historically black men’s college.
At the event, she was honored by the students who handed her roses. She shared video captioned, “Spent a day marinating in black excellence with these gorgeous, promising, young men at @Morehouse.
They honored me with roses, a song, and a portrait for a scholarship fund I set up 30 years ago. Can’t wait to see what they do with their future.”
Zachariah Smith and Olufemi Yessoufou, two freshmen at Morehouse College in Atlanta snapped this selfie with Oprah. The two freshmans caught up with Oprah at a stoplight, they leaned in for this selfie.
Oprah totally called out the ‘cracked cell phone’ people could not get over Oprah’s hilarious reaction.

The two freshmans told BuzzFeed, “She showed us that she’s one of us. That’s a joke me or one of my brothers would have made to each other.”
Buzzfeed —The story doesn’t end there. The day after posting the interaction online, Olu awoke to a DM from someone on Oprah’s team saying that Oprah wanted to send him a new phone: “Oprah already has this phone for you, and it’s my job to make sure you get it.”
“For her to go out of her way to send me a phone was amazing,”
