INGREDIENTS
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 onion, diced
- 8 ounces ground beef
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 3/4 cup canned white kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 3/4 cup canned kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 10 ounces elbow pasta
- 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves

I’ve had a few people point out that this recipe calls for canned kidney beans and white kidney beans as well. It is NOT a typo, I verified it and added the images below for clarification.

Hi. Thank you for pointing this confusion to me. I went back to the source and it’s not a mistake, the recipes calls for the regular canned kidney beans and for white kidney beans. I will update the post with the information for clarification. Thank you and thank you for following this blog.
The recipe calls for both white and regular kidney beans. I don’t think its a typo.
Looks great. But just FYI you put kidney beans 2x… is the kidney beans part doubled or is that a typing error..?
