She told CBS Sunday Morning: “When I’m not working, [being a homemaker] is my full-time job. It isn’t rainbows and kittens every day, but it does bring me a lot of joy.

“It’s just never consumed me, being an actor. It is my dream come true, but it is not my only dream come true. The life that I have built with my husband, the life that we’ve built with our children, that’s the best stuff. To come home at the end of the day, triumphantly, to them.”

Roberts also opened up about being a mom in an interview with ‘Today’, the Pretty Woman actor told host Hoda she was grateful to have waited to have children until she and Danny were ready.

“The truth is… no matter how old we are, [our children] have chosen us in this moment to be their stewards and shepherds in this life experience,” she said. “I met [husband Danny Moder] when I was ready. And then we call these children into our lives when we’re ready to best partner with them.”
