Presenting the Best Actor Award on Sunday, February 18, at the 2024 Baftas, Michael J. Fox was met with a standing ovation.
The 62-year-old received a roaring round of applause from the audience as he rose from his wheelchair to present the award to Oppenheimer’s stars.
“There’s a reason why they say movies are magic because movies can change your day. They can change your outlook, and sometimes even your life,” Fox said.

Fox now 62, battles Parkinson’s Disease, the actor was diagnosed in 1991.
He and his spouse Tracy established the Michael J. Fox Foundation in 2000 to raise funds for Parkinson’s disease research. It has raised an astounding $2 billion as of 2023.
