911 call audio sheds light on the events inside Casey White and Vicky White’s fleeing vehicle as they allegedly tried to evade law enforcement in Evansville, Indiana.
Newly released footage shows the moment Casey White was taken into custody in Evansville, Ind., as officers were attempting to administer first aid to Vicky White following a car chase that ended an 11-day search for the escaped convict and the former Alabama corrections officer who authorities say helped him escape.
Officials say, Vicky White, 56, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a U.S. Marshals Service vehicle rammed into the car that she and Casey White were traveling in as they fled from a hotel on Monday afternoon.
In body camera footage released by the department, first responders are seen pulling Vicky White from the vehicle and rendering first aid. She was then taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. An autopsy released on Tuesday ruled her death a suicide.
According to police, Casey White referred to Vicky White who was not related to him as his “wife” when apprehended.
Ms. White’s last words were revealed in a chilling 911 call where she said “let’s get out and run” and blamed White for wanting to stay “at a f****** motel” moments before apparently shooting herself in the head.
