I’m from the south and my Mother never made this for us. Now it is one of my favorites. It’s addicting and is a forever favorite.

My measurements might not be the exact measurements in Brenda’s recipe, the measurements below worked the best when I made this recipe.
1 can diced tomatoes
1 cup water (more or less)
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
4 tablespoons bacon grease and/or butter
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
