The View's Hosts Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro test positive for COVID

Vice President Kamala Harris’s scheduled to appear in person on ABC’s “The View” was halted Friday after hosts Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro test positive for COVID-19 moments before the show.

Hostin and Navarro were promptly removed from the live broadcast Friday morning after testing positive for COVID-19. Both were vaccinated, Joy Behar announced they had breakthrough infections (when a vaccinated person contracts COVID-19).

After making adjustments with just nine minutes left of the show, VP Harris finally spoke on The View from a separate room as a safety measure. “I hope that you’re in a safe spot right now,” Behar told the vice president. “We did everything we could to make sure that you were safe because we value you so much.”

The vice president thanked her and added: “Sunny and Ana are strong women and I know they’re fine, but it also does speak to the fact they’re vaccinated and vaccines make all the difference because otherwise, we would be concerned about hospitalization and worse.”
