Slow Cooker~Sweet Tea & Herbs Pork Chops


For the pork chops:

For the gravy:

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (or more for thicker gravy)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon real butter (salted)
  • 1/2 cup or more of juice from pork chops
  • Salt & pepper

Season pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic, chives and 2 tablespoons of the Sweet Tea Seasoning mix. Heat oil in pan on medium high heat. Add bay leaves to oil and sear both sides of pork chops to a golden brown.

Add chicken broth, pork chops and bay leaves to crock pot sprinkle the remaining Sweet Tea seasoning over chops. Cook on high for 4 hours or until chops are getting tender.

For the gravy:

In a skillet on medium to high heat add butter, salt and pepper. Mix cornstarch with water and whisk until mixed thoroughly. Add water mixture and juice from pork chops to skillet bring to a soft boil stirring constantly until thickened.

Pour gravy over pork chops in the crock pot and cook for 1 more hour on low.
