The debate between Ryan and Sanders began on Thanksgiving when Sanders posted a photo on Twitter of a pecan pie she that she had made for the holiday.
Ryan responded to Sanders’ photo by demanding that the press secretary post another photo of the pie on a table to prove that it was, in fact, real. The exchange gave birth to the Twitter hashtag, #PieGate.
Sanders then promised to bake a pie for Ryan.

I am not trying to be funny but folks are already saying #piegate and #fakepie Show it to us on the table with folks eating it and a pic of you cooking it. I am getting the biggest laugh out of this. I am thankful for this laugh on Black Friday! https://t.co/ifeSBlSZW7
