Log Cabin Republicans — the largest organization in the US supporting conservative LGBT Americans — will have a Mar-a-Lago fundraiser with former first lady Melania Trump as the featured speaker.
With just two appearances during her husband Donald Trump’s campaign, Melania Trump has mainly avoided the spotlight.
The Log Cabin characterizes themselves as, “LGBT Republicans and straight allies who support equality under the law for all, free markets, individual liberty, limited government and a strong national defense.”
Due to the psychological and emotional toll that his first campaign and presidency had, Trump has previously stated that he was hesitant to include his family in his reelection campaign.
“It’s funny, she was a very successful model, very, very successful, and yet she was a private person. She’s going to be out a lot. Not because she likes doing it, but she likes the results,” he said during the interview. “She wants to see this country really succeed. She loves the country.”
When reporters asked Melania about her involvement in her husband’s 2024 campaign, she said, “Stay tuned.”

She was seen on camera in January at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea for her mother Amalija Knavs’s funeral.
