Melania Trump is the first Catholic First Lady since Jackie Kennedy
Following her meeting with Pope Francis at the Vatican on Wednesday, first lady Melania Trump confirmed — she is a practicing Catholic. The pope blessed a rosary that the first lady brought with her on the visit. First lady tweeted that the meeting was “one I’ll never forget.”

The first lady hinted at her Catholicism when she opened a Trump rally in February with a reading of the Lord’s Prayer.
Melania Trump will be the first Catholic to live in the White House since former President John F. Kennedy and his wife Jackie.
