Lady Gaga Apologizes in Tearful Video for Canceling Miami Concert Mid-Show

Lady Gaga stopped her Miami concert early just before she started to sing Rain on Me with the encore of Hold My Hand. Lady Gaga’s shows have been sold-out on this tour at the Miami Hard Rock Stadium on the last night of the Chromatica Ball.

Gaga was hopeful the bad weather would not be an issue, in the end, though she had to stop the show because the lightning was not worth the risk to everyone there including herself and her crew.

She had no choice saying that “I’m sorry that we can’t finish but I don’t want to put your life in danger and I don’t want to put our life in danger.”

She tearfully apologizes to her fans and says, “We really tried to finish the show tonight in Miami.” explaining that lightning strikes were hitting too close to the ground, to her, her crew, and her fans.

“We really tried to finish the show tonight in Miami but we couldn’t because even when the rain stopped there was lightning striking right down to the ground so close to us,” she said in an emotional video posted on her Instagram page. “I don’t know what I would do if anything happened to anybody in the audience or to any member of my crew (or) my dancers.”

“Look, for years some of you have called me ‘mother monster,’ in my heart I knew it was better to keep you safe,” she added.

“Thank you for believing in me. This was the greatest tour of my life and I will cherish this moment forever – it took a long time for me to heal, but I did.”
