According to a source with knowledge of the agreement, Jason Kelce, who retired from the Philadelphia Eagles following the NFL 2024 season, will appear on ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown.”

The Athletic was the first to report the news of Kelce joining ESPN for “Monday Night Countdown.”

Jason co-hosts the popular “New Heights” podcast with his brother, Travis Kelce. Travis Kelce and the Chiefs agreed to a two-year contract deal on Monday. The brothers will continue with their “New Heights” podcast.

At a tearful press conference on March 4, Kelce declared his retirement, ending a 13-season career that will likely one day earn him a spot in the Hall of Fame.

Robert Griffin III, who will remain with the network as a college football analyst, will be replaced by Kelce.

TODAY:

During an interview on TODAY on April 1, Kelce’s wife Kylie Kelce suggested that he could transition to sportscasting.

“I think nothing is off the table at this point,” she said at the time. “I think that he — I mean, he’s my husband, so I’m biased, but I think he’s just so good at everything he tries. It’s kind of a pain in the butt. I think that nothing is off the table. He’s an ideas guy, so I think he’s just sort of letting them brew and see what happens.”
