O.M.G.! Elsa Might Have a Girlfriend In the “Frozen” Sequel
The director isn’t denying that she might just be the first LGBTQ Disney princess.
According to this, In the movie’s sequel, which will hit theaters in November 2019, Elsa is rumored to have a new boo — and it could just be that producers will write her a girlfriend. While the idea that Elsa might be the first (out) LGBTQ Disney princess may seem far-fetched, the team behind Frozen has yet to deny it.
This week, The Huffington Post asked the film’s director, Jennifer Lee, if Elsa will have a girlfriend.
“Where we’re going with it, we have tons of conversations about it, and we’re really conscientious about these things,” she said. “For me … Elsa’s every day telling me where she needs to go, and she’ll continue to tell us. I always write from character-out, and where Elsa is and what Elsa’s doing in her life, she’s telling me every day. We’ll see where we go.”
Unbelievable! If this is true, Disney will certainly alienate conservative viewers. I don’t agree with this move at all.
And I have absolutely nothing against LGBTQ.
This is very personal and parents shouldn’t have to explain this type of relationships to their children because a movie forced them too.
I’d suspect many parents will not be viewing this film if Disney goes forward with Elsa being gay.
