“Ladies and gentlemen, we are done. We have a deal,” White House aide Eric Ueland announced at the Capitol just after midnight.

White House officials said the measure will cost about $2 trillion.

The agreement came after days of intense negotiations and mounting pressure for the deal to be finalized.

The rescue package is larger than the 2008 bank bailout and 2009 recovery act combined. The coronavirus stimulus deal is largest in U.S. history.
