David Hogg Calls For Boycott Of Laura Ingraham After She Tweets About Hogg’s College Rejections

Parkland, Florida school shooting survivor David Hogg called on his Twitter followers Wednesday night to boycott Fox News host Laura Ingraham’s advertisers, after she called him a whiner.

“David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it. (Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA…totally predictable given acceptance rates.),” she tweeted.

Hogg, who survived the Feb. 14 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, told TMZ that he was rejected by four UC schools to which he applied for undergraduate admission. The schools were UCLA, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara and UC Irvine, reported TMZ.

David Hogg, helped launch the March for Our Lives movement.

David Hogg himself remained silent until he tweeted out a list of 12 companies that reportedly are top advertisers of “The Ingraham Angle,” the Washington Post said.

The tweet was “liked” by more than 62,000 people, including those who voiced support for his taking a stand against the “bullying” Ingraham.

As of Thursday morning, pet food brand Nutrish had become the first company so far to respond to Hogg’s boycott call, tweeting, “We are in the process of removing our ads from Laura Ingraham’s program.”

I don’t care for either of them. However, I’d have to say someone needs to grow up and it’s not the kid.

We’ll have to wait and see if any other advertisers join the boycott.
