Mourning a country music legend. Naomi Judd, of the iconic duo ‘The Judds’ singing partner Wynonna and actress Ashley Judd, confirm their mom has died. She was 76.
Her famous daughters announced the sad news on Saturday in a statement on Ashley’s Instagram page.
“Today we sisters experienced a tragedy. We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness. We are shattered. We are navigating profound grief and know that as we loved her, she was loved by her public. We are in unknown territory,” the post read.

Naomi Judd is also survived by her husband and fellow singer, Larry Strickland, who was a backup singer for Elvis Presley.
The Judds were set to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame on Sunday and they recently announced their final tour planned to kick off later this year, it would have been their first in a decade.
