Amy Schumer Just Got Married. But She Wants to Talk About Gun Control Instead
Us Weekly was the first to report that Schumer and her boyfriend of several months married in Malibu on Tuesday. A rep for Schumer told Fox News to refer to the star’s Instagram when asked for details.
According to The Blast, Schumer and Fischer invited 80 of their closest friends and family to watch them exchange vows in a house they rented in Malibu.
Jennifer Lawrence, Larry David, Aidy Bryant, Vanessa Bayer, Rachel Feinstein, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Chelsea Handler were in attendance, according to the photos Schumer posted.
The actress and comedian, who married chef Chris Fischer Tuesday, took to Instagram to take advantage of the media attention surrounding her nuptials to ask for people to donate to Everytown for Gun Safety.
“2 things, No I’m not pregnant,” Schumer wrote on her post. “And no gifts but thank you for asking. Instead please consider [a] donation to every town for gun safety… sending love to everyone who has been affected by gun violence.”
