(Cosmopolitan) The American Horror Story “Murder House” is predictably turning into a nightmare for its new owners. Married couple Ernst Von Schwarz and Angela Oakenfold told CBS they are plagued with crazed fans who take photos, trespass, and sometimes even force their way inside their home. “A week before I first visited them [to work on the case], they had been awakened by the sound of glass breaking — someone came in through the window in the kitchen,” their lawyer told The Real Deal. They’re blaming their realtor and the former owners (who they claim should have disclosed the house’s history).

They bought the Rosenheim Mansion in Los Angeles, which appeared throughout the FX show’s first season, in 2015 for a cool $3.2 million. Now they’re suing for unspecified damages, and want to approved to build a bigger fence or hedge to give them more privacy. “We feel like they cheated us,” Oakenfold said.

In one particular incident, some teenagers even got a garbage truck driver to give them a boost over the current fence. “He put them in the crane and elevated it. And I’m in the bathroom and I look out the window and there are teenage girls screaming at me,” Oakenfold said. Could be worse, could be a creepy guy in a latex onesie though!

The couple also claim the house is haunted (by two ghosts) and are annoyed they weren’t told about that either.
