
It’s been six years since Adelle released her last album. Well, Adele is back – and within 24 hours she shattered records.
Just 24 hours after premiering on Spotify, the song raked in 24 million listeners. The streaming service Spotify announced that the singer’s new single “Easy on Me,” which was released Friday, set a new record for being the most streams in 24 hours.
“On Friday, October 15th, Adele’s Easy On Me became Spotify’s most-streamed song in a single day,” Spotify wrote on social media.

Created with longtime collaborator Greg Kurstin, “Easy On Me” is the lead single from Adele’s upcoming fourth album, 30, which is scheduled for release on Nov. 19. The song was accompanied by black-and-white music video, in which the singer drives away from an empty house with a “Sold” sign in the front yard.
Adele’s last three albums — 19, 21, and 25 — have all reached the top five on the Billboard 200, with the latter two hitting No. 1. Her most recent project, 2015’s 25, spent a staggering 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and earned the album of the year Grammy, selling 3.38 million copies in its debut week.
